Showboat… i stayed n early 80s my parents were pro bowlers n they competed there … n when i was older me n dad stayed at showboat n he won 600 dollars n a slot …. after he passed on which was like 10 yrs later the 600 was still n his travel grooming luggage 6 100 dollar bills safly stashed …. i miss dad
The big commercial companies have taken a lot fun out of gambling. The games they offer, for me, are unplayable. Either the edge is too high or the minimum is too high. Then to put the icing on the cake the comps have been not so good
Laughlin is still so cheap n good game odds… i loved vegas back n day but now f em…. i prefer a siute on the river over strip view
First thing that ruined Vegas was the feds stepping in and asking Howard Hughes to take over a casino business. Second thing was the elimination of organized crime running Vegas. Third thing, Steve Wynn, who turned the adult playground into a freaking Disneyland. Next came the corporate takeover of casinos. And finally, all the a-holes moving from California to LV.
This isn't hard. Greed.
