Crunching the numbers, using $1 as your starting amount:
win on 1st spin: NET $5
win on 2nd spin: NET $7
win on 3rd spin: NET $7
win on 4th spin: NET -$1
win on 5th spin: NET -$33 (assuming you're covering 5 double streets)
If you win on the first 3 spins, you're profitable. 4th spin, just a 1 unit loss. On the 5th spin, your total money on the line is $129. You either lose $129 or $33.
So far it's working for me on a roulette simulator. I'm using the European wheel, so it only has one 0. I refuse to play roulette at all on the American wheel. This is the best strategy so far, but I'm still worried about doing this using real money. We'll see…
If you had god awful luck and was playing the board to make you money back with the martingale system your bankroll would be 321. Good educated guess!
