What if you incorporate no bet spins in the mix? Generally, you don't win most of the spins so if you "saved" the bets for a future spin you could place a higher bet amount on that spin. This is with mostly flat betting though but it's similar to what you're doing with your progressive bets. i.e .an increase in bet amount.
