Yes! you are so right about having more than 10! It can become overwhelming
I'm doing my first project pan at the moment, but am only on the first month, so not really seeing the difference just yet. I'm attempting to work my way through 34 or so lipsticks in 6 months, and make some progress on 5 eye shadow palettes. It might fail, but it'll be interesting to see the difference in a week or so with my first update. I think i'll manage to get through a few lip products though, which is what I want. :o)
