  1. What do you think of Bart's thoughts on slightly negative EV calls to get more money onto the table in tightly enforced restricted buy-in games?

  2. I think a lot of flopped sets shouldn’t be raising here, because it looks so strong. I look at the raises as somewhat desperate moves, as being IP makes their life easier on later streets, vs being OOP (where a chk-raise looks way stronger to me) soooo I’m never folding AA here.

  3. You rarely hear the term going north it means bringing more chips into the game, where going south is taking chips off the table great stuff Bart

  4. My head hurts trying to analyze some of the EV stuff here and I generally play 1/3 that plays closer to a lower end 2/5 game, meaning most open raises are 5-10x. Everyone and their brother is calling a 3-4x raise. Also, people are constantly “going North” in these games and is almost expected.

It’s a coin flip on my decision depending on how tight/loose my impressions of the other 2 players are. I’m only folding if my gut tells me one of them has 77. Very small chance anyone is holding KK or 33 but not impossible in games with much less skill. Without personally knowing more about the players styles and their impression of me, I probably lean toward thinking one of them has flopped a set and lay it down, unless I picked something up in their actions as far as physical tells.

  5. I am surprised this is considered a fold (albeit by a small margin). You are only afraid of trips and really only 777. Many would fold 77 preflop with that action, so I don't get it. Seems trips are very unlikely and you are really up against flush draws or AK. Even the combo draws are not great given there is not open ended straight draw. To me it is a hold your nose and call situations for sure. Your getting 3 to 1.
