  1. What preflop raising mistakes do you see in your poker games? Also, everything you've been taught about poker is WRONG! (see the evidence) https://youtu.be/ULhc7iXpeAc

  2. More revolving around live poker, but it’s common at a stake like 1/3 to raise to $20 (6.67x) and still get 2-4 callers. Obviously we don’t want to be going too big, because then we start spewing. Do we just shrug and ride the variance train, or is there a better solution for this kind of action?

  3. Last time I played poker I had problems finding a good strategy. It was 6max 0,5/1$ cash game and there was this guy who always reraised preflop. In every position, every hand. Probably I folded to many good hands and after a time I was afraid to make an opening raise, because he would always reraise and I dont want to put that much money in the pot preflop if I had not a super strong hand. Even when I 3 bet really big, he just made a bigger 4 bet or went all in. Same play on the flop, always a bet or reraise, so my strategy was just to check and call. The size of his bet was often 2-5x the pot, so I was too afraid to call when I did not hit anything until turn. After all, I lost a lot of money and even when I had AA or KK, he won with some stupid bad on the turn or river. So I dont know which strategy would be good in this situation? I think best would have been, if I just changed the table.

  4. Been following you for a while. I only follow and acknowledge real. Nathan is a real one for sure. Keep up the good work, a true beacon of hope for the newbies and fish to soon be sharks 🙏😎

  5. I THINK I'M BLESSED BECAUSE IF NOT I WOULDN'T HAVE MET SOMEONE WHO IS AS SPECTACULAR AS EXPERT AVA LIO

I THINK SHE IS THE BEST BROKER EVERYONE SHOULD BE PROUD OFF

  6. this is very nice but what you are not mentioning there is going something very weird on the online poker, specialy on higher stakes. Bots, guys playing together against one guy, cheaters(sending trojans, doing DDos attacks etc), super users, casino players which see hands and board cars what will come etc. If you want to win in online poker, the biggest win is not playing it. Just find a fish on real table and manage your skills there. In online poker you will be out of money no matter what you doing or no matter what is your bankroll. Honestly i think a guys like you working for them, its part of psychologic thats makes people think its very possible to win online, but its not. Why would Negrenau makes his own online casino if he just needs to play poker and make huge wins ? doesnt make sense. Alll this guys like hellmuth, negrenau etc are part of industry which making poker famous, so new people will join poker and it can hook them for years until they manage its not poker anymore but its cheating you to make deposit again and again. Funny think is that if you decide to not play for example month, then you deposit all is going very nice for a days sometimes for a weeks, then something happen and algorhytm is somehow working against you and you cant do nothing about it just stop playing, you came back but still the same because they whant you to deposit again. I was myself winning thousands of dollars in tournaments just in a month and then gues what ? after i took some money to my wallet i was doomed forever. Im not going to deposit any more and thats what i call a WINNING in online poker.

  7. Thing is, going with a 3x or 4x raise in a $1/2 game when you have premium is just asking for trouble. That's only $6 raise IP and a $9 raise OOP. You are going to get 5+ callers only raising $6. You have to make it $10 IP and $12-15 OOP. You will not be thinning the field with a $6 raise. It's basically the same as limping in a $1/2 live cash game.

  8. Undersizing your preflop 3-bets is a relative issue. Here's a common occurrence where I play, for example:
    1. 2/3/5 cash game, average stack is $5-700.
    2. utg or utg+1 raises to $18-21. 3-4 players call.
    3. In the cutoff/btn position, someone raises to $125-140.
    4. Original raiser calls, and 2 of the previous callers also call, making the pot ~$500 going to the flop.
    5. This sets up a scenario where any one of those players who called/overcalled can jam on the flop with an SPR of 1 or close to it. In their mind, this is the optimal scenario where they can maximize the value of their hand should they hit the flop hard. They are essentially lever-pulling with hands like 98s, J10s, or some other type of hand with connected broadway cards in it or small/mid pairs.

So for me personally, in the specific environments where I play, I tend to be really selective about where and when I 3-bet, and when I do, I will oversize it such that previous callers will be incentivized to 4-bet jam rather than call with 60% of their stack. So in a spot like the one I just described, if I'm in the cutoff or btn position with a strong premium hand (JJ+, AK), I will typically 3-bet closer to a $200-250 sizing depending on the profiles of the players who have already called the original raiser. My reasoning is that if everyone folds, I still pick up 12-15BB worth of money, but if that one loose player who called the first raise is looking at calling off half their stack, and they want to gamble, they are much more likely to just say "heck with it, I'll just go all in", and I beat them into the pot with my call.
