  1. @PokerChampCoaching when you say grinding, are you referring to someone on a limited bankroll who is trying to 'grind' out micros to build the b.r. to be able to sustain bigger stakes? or do you mean the act of multi-tabling many games in order to pad their win-rate and cut variance? for me it is the former, since i am fairly new to the game. i chose s&g's because they seem the most cost-effective way to learn; as opposed to ring game play, which i am not good enough at, yet.

  2. @PokerChampCoaching also, do you think small stakes ring game play at a b&m casino, say 1 or 2 nl, would be an easier game then those online? i've never played at a casino, but i've heard as long as you have the basic strategy that you would use in a stt or mtt online, you will be fine live, due to the players in general not being as good as your typical online player. but online, it seems that you really have to know more about the particulars for ring game strategy, and it's more complex.

  3. @1skullduggery Yes. It will definitely be easier, unless the casino happens to have core of very good pros, but that is very unlikely. Most live pros are considerably easier to beat because they're playing such weak competition that they don't fully develop as a player. If you want to play live cash games, I would definitely practice some low stakes online games first. Cash games are much tougher and much different than tourneys. Many of the same skills do apply, so you have a good start.

  4. @1skullduggery Keep watching my videos and you will learn everything you need to know to beat both live and online games. Always feel free to ask me more questions, too. There is a lot to learn but you can do it.

  5. @1skullduggery I meant playing a large amount of sngs, with any sized bankroll with the goal to make as much money as possible, usually by multi-tabling. You can actually play very low stakes cash games, such as $2 NL. You can learn a lot there, even though the players are very weak and the play is very different from higher stakes games. If you want to play cash games at casinos, I would play low stakes cash games online first. If you want to play sngs it will only help you so much in live cash

  6. @1skullduggery In other words, you should specialize in either cash games or sngs. If you're starting out, playing 2 different games will only slow down your learning. Many of the sng concepts simply will not translate to cash games. Both sngs and cash games are viable options and both have their perks. But I do feel like sngs are not as interesting and are much more repetitive especially if you do it for a long time. Something to consider.
