Doyle Brunson TRAPS Elezra With The FULL HOUSE In A Six-Figure Pot

Texas Holdem Tips Video Source & Information:

Doyle Brunson has been playing high stakes cash games longer than many of his opponents have been alive. In this hand of No Limit Hold’em, he makes a full house against Eli Elezra. He plays it slow, however, laying the trap. Will Eli fall into it? Was this the right strategy? It’s never good to make mistakes with this much money on the line!

As always, Doug breaks down each street of action. Poker Hands is the show where Doug analyzes live poker hands from tv poker shows such as Poker After Dark, EPT (European Poker Tour), High Stakes Poker, the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the Aussie Millions, WPT (World Poker Tour) the Big One For One Drop, and the PCA (Pokerstars Carribean Adventure). He especially enjoys reviewing hands by popular high stakes pros like Viktor “Isildur” Blom, Ike Haxton, Dan Cates (Jungleman), Tom “Durrrr” Dwan, Phil Ivey, and OtB_RedBaron.

  1. You missed the key piece of dialogue that gave away why Doyle played this hand that way. Elezra says "You played solid all night and then you checked twice into me." In other words, Doyle offset the line to bait the trap. Doyle had him on a Queen when Elezra bet the flop. When the turn hit, and Doyle hit his boat, he knew that a check wouldn't fit his usual bet pattern and his last check raise would look like a bluff attempt. That's also why he overbet the pot. Doyle knew he wouldnt' lay the set down. And he also knew he played the hand well.

  2. who needs this guy yaking about the poker hands??? He is a distraction and nuisance….I lost my interest to watch this offerings…
