Blackjack Strategy: How to Play a Pair of 2s – 888casino

Blackjack Strategy Video Source & Information:

When you are dealt a pair of 2s (also known as “deuces”), you have two viable playing options:

• Split or
• Hit

Which strategy you should invoke depends upon what the dealer’s upcard is, the number of decks of cards being used, and whether double down after pair splitting is allowed.

  1. Never understood why anyone would make so much fuss about splitting 2s? They are such lowly cards – why do they really matter to players? Think about it for a moment?

  2. So really? Pairs Splitting is better than hitting? I would always split pairs regardless. I didn't even know that there was any mathematics involved.

  3. I like to Hit when the dealer is showing a 3 or a 2. Always work for me. Usually dealer gonna hit a 10-value card after that.

  4. Against a 2, hit if truecount<=-3, split otherwise. Against a 3, hit if truecount<=-5, split otherwise. Against a 4, hit if truecount<=6.5, split otherwise. Against a 5-7, split. Against an 8, hit if truecount<=4.5, split otherwise. Against a 9 or more, hit. That is how to play a pair of 2s. That is all.
