Do you allow a place bet for the shooter on the point even though he has a base bet of $5 on the line. I wanted to do this when I played $66 on the inside and take it down after 3 hits and make $84. The stick man at a casino in Iowa wouldn't let me do this; he said I must put odds behind my base on the line. I wanted all place bets so my math would be easier for me to see. I could always put a unit each on a few numbers after I made the $84 or put odds on base bet so I could continue playing for practice and the bonus bet of all, tall, and small. Just curious, do I need to have a pass bet down in order to throw out a place bet? Or can I just go with a place bet on a new shooter.
