🥃 Cocktails and Craps: Hawaii Craps Shooters “Monster Roll” Analysis

Craps Strategy Video Information:

In a recent live stream one member of the Hawaii Craps Shooters team had an AMAZING roll. It was not only long, but it had a great cluster of numbers.

Let’s break that roll down and see where this shooter broke “probability” and how different betting strategies would have worked with it.

We’ll also look at one of their other above average rolls which is a great example of a “good” set of rolls you might see on a more regular basis.

  1. Great breakdown John. I always enjoy your insight and thoughts. Thank you for the support! Cant wait to throw with you again soon.

  2. I play exclusively a high-volatility “light side” strategy. I have 2 levels of starting bets:

    $500 inside ($100 5/9 and $150 6/8)
    $1200 inside ($300 5/6/8/9)

I take 2-3 hits and then begin pressing aggressively. I don’t have a lot of small/intermediate presses. For 6/8 I will go $150-300, take one then $600 then $1200/1800/3000/6000. On 5/9 I go $100-200-$500 ($20 power press), take one, $1000/2000/3000/5000

I sometimes take one here any there along the way. No real “strategy” but if the table has been bad for awhile or multiple days/weeks I often press a little slower. But I don’t do things like $150/210/300/420/480/600 etc.

I can tell you that 99.9% of people “playing along” to rolls wouldn’t make half of what they claim. It’s just not easy to make big presses. I know most people play at smaller levels but I’ve probably played 5,000 hours of live craps in my life and the large majority of players have a big problem pressing beyond 1-2 times their staying level. And that’s perfectly natural, not a criticism.

But I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had, for example, $1000 on the 5 and I tell myself I’ll press to $2000 next hit….and then it rolls and I just take the $1400. It’s just not easy for people to effectively turn down $1000 (or $100 or $50).

Take a look at the table the next time you see a 15-20 minute roll. That tells you just how much most people are willing to put on the table.

  3. Hey, thank you so much for breaking down the rolls for other people and see which strategy will do well and which will do poorly and why,I’ll love to see you doing more videos like this about once at wk if you can. Also which are the best strategies to start betting to build up like 6/8 and then cover more inside number or just pressing the 6/8, what works best for you you and why?

  4. Very good video I feel and hear the passion coming from you My comment below is not to be negative but how I view these approaches.
I see 12 numbers rolled and you have about 30 in the rack as profit plus what is on the table waiting for the 7 out when the first point was made
So on average the shooter needs about 14 numbers rolled to have your original bet of 66 in profit back in the rack plus whats on the table
Think logically would a casino let you make a even money bet for the over/under of 14 rolls ! No they would not, all the bets would be on the under and the casino would be out of business
The presentation is fantastic but the monster rolls are just for dreamers it happens 1 in a hundred

  5. Love your channel.
Color Up posted a monster 40 plus roll. Will you do a side by side strategy like you did on your last video ?
