  1. I'd suggest you remove the spam bots in the comments ASAP, they are all over youtube and front a scam.

  2. You have some good points about rake. But it definitely takes a chunk of your win rate at 1/3. So i'd recommend if you ever see a really soft 2/5 game you should do it. The impact of rake and money leaving the table is much smaller. Especially since it plays way deeper giving you even more of an edge in soft games

  3. You may believe, based on your past experience or other relevant factors, that the other players will will be weak*, but the only thing you know for sure when you enter a poker room with a high rake is that the rake will be high. So there is a bit of an epistemological mismatch between a 'known known' (high rake) and a 'known unknown' (strength of competition).

    * Weak relative to your own level of play

  4. Although tips are not adjusting as quickly to inflation, if at all, let’s not forget that minimum wage has been going up which does alleviate part of that inflation argument. I understand inflation rate Is growing at a faster pace than the minimum wage but this increase is definitely a factor that helps as well

  5. Regarding tips, I saw a guy blind betting max $25 at 3card poker, for himself AND dealer. He hit, back to back trip 5s. At end of dealers shift he needed a tray to take his tip money. This was at Peppermill in Mesquite, which was torn down around 2009.

  6. Nice segment with Trooper. Would love to see more player interviews in other videos!!
