  1. I am presently at the stage of ripping out the GD Volara closed cell foam that was so bouncy—I used the excess to catch the dice that bounce out by holding it up with paint sticks to extend the height of the sides and back wall. Ridiculous. I practiced for months on this trampoline before I got to Vegas(Fla has no craps tables). Man was I pissed. The Venetian/Palazzo/Wynn tables were hard as a rock in comparison to mine, yet they bounced dice off the table all of the time. When I felt the surfaces, they had about 1/16"-1/8" of an underlayment of some type. When I got home, I bought some vinyl, like the stuff for the rail pads and tried one, then two layers of these under my layout felt, but it still wasn't bouncy enough. Today, I bought some fleece and some felt from Walmart. I took everything off and started with the fleece, which felt good under the layout. Again, not bouncy enough. So I added one piece of felt, then two, and I still couldn't get any dice to bounce out. So glad I caught your post. Sounds like you may have saved me a ton of time. I'll get the floor muffler tomorrow and try it. Fingers crossed and thanks for the excellent post.

  2. I had made a practice table in the past using billiard cloth. Putting the cloth on a 3/4 inch Birch or Oak plywood. I put two layers of the billiard cloth which seemed to replicate the bounce on several of the casino tables. Of course they are all different but this seemed to work pretty good.I realize that we have to get used to each table as they are all different, but for practice, this worked for me. A friend bought my original table and now I am in process of making another. Will see how it goes.

  3. The golden nugget highly discourages dice controllers. I found this out just last month…
