I think the reasonable people on Twitter have not been bemoaning the fold to 5b shove but that the turn check was certainly questionable as well as the decision to 4b on river on this runout against this player profile. I don't think you need to be a 100/200 crusher to sus out a couple areas where the hand may have went awry on Kym's part.
for some reason I would've loved it if in this Spot one Player has the Jd and the other one plays Kd9d and both make the str8 flush impossible and the one who jams first wins the pot, lol
Great breakdown!! You put a great effort into what I am 99.8% is a fake hand, I watch the Bike streams, I play 5/25 a lot, I've never seen or heard of a 20/40/80 NL game. Has anyone? It's a math question and you got it correct. EOS
Well, if you butcher basically every street this is what happens.
I think the reg thinks she is capped at TT coz she played it so passively. He has all the nutted AQ, AA, QQ in his range when she checks twice. His AA or AQ is basically the nuts as played from his perspective.
what I love about this spot is there's no way it's solved, because whether the fold is right or wrong completely depends on villain's undefined range. So no solver would be helpful. it's a clear call if he has bluffs, and a clear fold if he doesn't. FWIW people who say "he can have a reasonable number of bluffs here".. this spot may come up once a decade in live poker. Think about it, it's not just a bad beat, but a bad beat at 800 bb. It's such a low frequency spot, that even a seasoned pro could not have studied it much. And if he's a reg playing 800 bb, he's not trying to get stacked. I think any good thinking player who ordinally has bluffs will heavily lean towards value in this spot. SOmeone you know to be maniacal, who you've seen make HUGE bluffs in the past, I could get behind calling there. But against anyone who seems like a reasonably "normal" player, I think you gotta fold. That said, I'd have flatted 4! probably, or maybe min raised with the intention of folding to another raise?

If I knew my opponent folded quads I would play accordingly. I might fold quads if nobody finds out.
Iād love to eat quads with 8 high.
I beat trip jacks with a pair of jacks. That ended up being a very good session for me. The board had straight flush possibilities and I took advantage of it. He folded his pocket jacks face up. To this day, Iām sure he still thinks he made the right play.
