Villain probably had T9. There is no point in betting T9 on the river, because at that point Heros range is pretty much narrowed down to sets and missed draws, and obviously Hero is never going to call with a missed draw. On the turn however T9 still need to bet for value / to deny equity to Heros draws. T9 dont need to worry about AT, A9 or A2, because these hands would never raise the flop and then call a 3-bet.

Bart, I have to agree. The best hand he's checking on the river with is 10 9. If I were villain, I'd check that back. I don't think a river jam by villain is gonna get a call by worse. The best case scenario for villain with 10 9 is thin value… assuming hero doesn't C/R river.
More than anything though, I put villain on 10x, JJ to KK, or QJ.
I wouldn't like it, but I'd have C/R turn.

People, sets against set are rare. if he has it, he has it, thats it. Shove turn imho.
Who is technically supposed to show first in this situation?
Caller is absolutely correct Bart, most small stakes players don't vary their bet size vs limpers. I've seen ridiculous raises like 11 into a 21 dollar pot with 7 limpers.
Disagree here; I think check jam the turn is optimal. Strong is weak.
