  1. Sick river. I’m more interested in what we do after being shoved on as villain. Probably call but damn

  2. Calling turn with the intention of folding "almost all rivers" in a 1/2 game is pretty terrible IMO. Against the majority of the 1/2 player pool I think it's fine to bet/fold the turn, and unless I have reads that the player is capable of running a c/r turn bluff, then that would actually be my default. If you're just calling turn to "see if he'll bet river" then you're lighting money on fire. The turn line from the villain is so rarely a bluff in 1/2 and reps so much strength that you're going to be facing a river bet a high percentage of the time. I actually think the caller's line is fine in something like a 5/5 or 5/10 game, but in 1/2 you can bet/fold turn with JJ with impunity and not ever have to worry about being exploited.

  3. You played 1/2 this summer with me! Obviously CLP meetup is different, but… =P

  4. there are a few reasons to check back the turn…yes, you could call it "pot control" but it also can induce a lot of river bluffs by disguising the strength of your hand (suddenly your hand looks a lot more like a big card hand that c-bet or something like that). i find this play to be very profitable with big pairs on drawy flops like this one when the river bricks and villain has busted draw(s) or perhaps a smaller pair like 66 or something. d

  5. By the way. Pot control works vs aggressive players at 1-2. It leads to alot of bluffing by opponents and over play as well. I make a good profit by controlling the pot vs aggressive villans.
You just have to call more when you ck bk the turn. On most run outs.

  6. He will always call all boats! Cause the hero was on UTG+1. Much stronger range. Also the hero 3bet a utg open. That's makes heros range even stronger. It's rare for hero to connect on the flop and since he bet the flop it mostly should be over pairs or flush draws.so the villan would even call trip eights
