Bart Hanson from Crush Live Poker talks poker strategy about running into top pair on the turn with the nut flush draw.

In this spot the caller flops the nut flush draw with AK. He gets check raised on the flop and runs into top pair on the turn. Then on the river he faces a blocking bet. Should he raise?

  1. Does hero have 77 or 55 when he opens to 60 utg? I think 3 way IP utg range vs sb + BB range, I would Advocate checking this flop. Yes, Hero has a lot of equity, but future run outs in terms of two pairs and flushes favor sb and BB limp call range.

  2. If you mix it up, how often would you say that a fold would be in % ? I personally would tend to 66 % call and 33 % fold as there is a lot I can’t beat and she played straight forward (check-raise, bet, bet) .

  3. Hi Bart, it was truly a pleasure saying hello to you yesterday (Monday). You were gracious and asked what tournament at the wsop me and my friends were playing and where we were from. I do want to apologize however for calling you Gus when we met initially. Ugh.

  4. Do you ever look at a hand history, and before the reveal you think, "I don't know what villain has, but our hand is probably no good"?

    This felt like that for me.
