  1. This is an obvious check on turn imo. hero getting 2 to 1 and does not have correct immediate odds to call. such a gross spot which is why I check call the turn, so as not to open myself up to a raise and I have to play oop with 10 outs. Now we know villain is a maniac after seeing his hand and we can bet call for value way wider. but against most players this looks like an easy check. also if hero puts him on a4 ot a8 possibly on turn then villain has a bigger boat on river. not that this should now be a fold but I don't think its accurate to say that this is the second best card for hero.

  2. I️ see why villain floated here. Turn is such a gin float card for villain. Hero just happens to be at the top of his range. Blah blah blah. Villain clearly wanted to play pots in position vs hero and I️ don’t blame him…..

  3. Two things to take away from this hand:

    1) We dont create our lines from an assumption, that our opponents are making really horrible plays. And if they are, we dont need to adjust to it, we will still beat them by playing good solid poker.

    2) Texture and blockers really do matter, and because of that we should go into check-call mode on the turn. Maybe we can bet with bottom or middle set, and maybe we can bet on the deuce of clubs, but in this exact situation we just have to much going against us.

  4. With Ac and Kc on the board, the amount of club flush draws is reduced immensely.

  5. I like it when a hand is intrinsically fascinating/instructive despite a completely bonkers villain
