It might sound silly but playing out of position means that your opponent gets to act after you with more information than you had on future streets.
A lot of poker players, especially new or beginner poker players, get into tough spots with pretty good but not great hands when they bet flop and turn and check the river.

Now your opponent has seen you act for multiple streets and gets to use their polarized range to either value bet or bluff against you, forcing you to make a tough decision.

While playing poker out of position, remind yourself as early as you can that you’re going to have to act first on every street so you need to have a plan ahead of time.

If you’re building huge chip stacks already but still looking for how to improve at pot limit omaha, no limit hold ‘em, or poker in general, Phil Galfond is here to teach you how to think like a professional poker player.

  1. Just a recreational but play many tournaments a day in clubs and do make a conscious effort to study situations and get better, seeing the improvements.
. I like to play defensively OOP. maybe bet one street call one street check call… if it seems reasonable for the action and the opponent. I have a lot of loose players in the club, sometimes they get lucky. GG and then the next.

  2. Phil galfond v negreanu or ivey be a good match. Everyone please like share comment and subscribe.

  3. Dr. Phil Galfond. Sir what is your specialty? I know basically everything poker related. Can you do surgery for a gun shot wound? Probably I know some stuff about gut shots lol. Dr. Phil Galfond is one of the best Doctors in poker

  4. I struggle with bet sizing out of position.
Should bet sizes be bigger when out of position versus in position?

On one hand, I often have a much tighter range than my opponents so reducing the SPR is good out of position, right, since getting more money in while I'm likely ahead seems good.

On the other hand, there's the concept of reducing my losses in unfavorable spots (out of position) and maximizing profit in favorable situations (in position).

  5. I needed to hear this, I feel like this is where I lose so many hands getting myself into trouble
