  1. Stop trying to rush out videos and study the game more. They're super entertaining but some of these hands are painful to listen to. You say you're not running well, but a lot of your plays are pretty bad and consistently show that you're burning money with poor choices of betting and bluffs. You can't just run well consistently in the long run and expect to make money, you have to study and learn the game to minimize losses or run bad and make the maximum when you do run well or decently. I can't agree with you being a winning long term player like you stated from the majority of your hand histories. You need to study ranges, solvers, and everything about the game.

  2. I was reviewing my hands and was nice to have your hand perspective so I figured I'd give you some advice on some of the hands. The same advice actually applies to a lot of the hands you played. You have to be way more careful of reverse implied odds in many of the spots you are getting involved in. Two great examples of this are the KQo hand, and the 33 hand. In the KQo hand, raising without a spade in position is pretty risky. I have a lot of AJ, KJ, KK, AA, QQ, JJ in my range. None of those are folding to a raise. I also have a lot of suited combos that you don't want to be inflating the pot for since if I make a flush and you make a straight you are going to be in a terrible spot. The 33 hand although it worked out, is arguably always a fold if you aren't being results oriented. With a big raise and a call in front of you, I'd predict a lot of the time you are facing pocket pairs bigger than yours. You usually have to hit a 3 to win the pot, and there will be times where you hit a 3 as bottom set and one of the other players in the hand ends up making a larger set and you get stacked. And finally, never 4bet with AQo. There are simply way better spots in these fish heavy games. Most of the fishy players in these games won't even 3 bet stuff like JJ. So if there is a 3bet they probably have something like QQ+ which they are never ever folding. And that has AQ absolutely dominated. So all in all I'd say you can make a lot more money by being more tight pre flop and not inflating pots post flop where you have bad reverse implied odds. Especially when you are in position. Position makes so many draws very easy to play, where often times you make your hand and get to see if your opponent tries to bluff you at which point you can check raise. But no need to inflate the pot before that.

  3. Ethan, I would love to hear what you do for confidence boosting when hitting a "downswing" which is actually just running badly which in turn makes a player play badly…perhaps this would be a great subject for a vlog? I am a relatively new player as well, and have hit a wall of runbad which has led to me not capitalizing (to max. value) when I do get a moment of run good!

  4. DUde, keep your spirtis up, eyes open and mind alert … you're young; you'll get here …

  5. I probably don’t raise flop in position with KQ, but after that your line made perfect sense, you should have a lot of flush combos that take this exact line, the guy just made a pretty bad call tbh, unless you knew he was a calling station saying it was bad simply bc he called is being results oriented yet again

  6. You need to forget the terminology "run well" and "run bad". IMO you are in a very bad habit of assigning way too much to luck. Also admitting cheating on your vlog is prob not an A+ idea. You have prob the best personality of any poker vlogger but it is painful to see some of these hands.

  7. I think with you being a newer player you need to have some game selection strategy! When I’m not doing so great at the casinos I’ll switch to home games and small mtts. When I’m playing well I will play more hours in the casino. You will find much softer home games and small mtts. Thanks for your content I know how much effort this must take!
