  1. Yeah but can you beat the rake in Fixed Limit Poker? Math : (30 hands per hour) * (win 1/10 of those hands) * ($7 rake + $1 tip) = $24 per hour in expenses. At 3/6 that's winning 4 bigs bets per hour to break even. At 4/8 that's winning 3 big bets per hour to break even. At 8/16 that's winning 1.5 big bets per hour to break even.

    Seems like 20/40 and above are timed games.

  2. Was the author Dan Harrington? I read a lot of poker books back in the day and most emphasized playing tight. But around 2006-2008 online poker tournaments were very easy to win. Wish I would’ve played more than I did at the time.
