This online version of double ball roulette by Evolution is a variation of European Roulette, (single zero roulette), played using a standard roulette wheel but with two balls rather than just one. The two balls are not spun by the dealer in the usual way, they are released into the wheel by the dealer utilising a “unique mechanism”, or in other words, the two balls are literally blasted out of a pipe or tube by compressed air into the wheel. I did wonder how the balls don’t fly out of the wheel which funnily enough happened in this video and therefore that particular spin was deemed a no spin as BOTH balls have to complete their journey into winning numbers for a spin to be classed as valid.
As there are two balls in play there are now two chances for the player to win, so the odds are reduced to reflect this extra chance of winning. For example, a straight up winning number in standard roulette pays 35-1, in double ball roulette a straight up winning number only pays out at 17-1.
So as far as I’m concerned, the only reason I’m ever going to play double ball roulette is for the fun and entertainment of playing for the double ball jackpot win of 1300-1. If I want a game of standard roulette, I’ll play it on a standard layout / wheel and enjoy the better odds. I do get that you have two chances of winning on double ball roulette but as my personal strategy is to place my largest bets on certain straight up numbers, if those numbers come in I want 35-1 bottom line.
If you don’t bet on the golden track and the two balls land on one of your numbers, you only get 35-1, which is what happened to me on that particular spin. I won £105 instead of £3900…. GUTTED! All I needed to do was bet on the main layout as normal to ensure I won something when one ball hit my numbers as standard, but then I should have also placed a straight up bet on 0,5,17 and 29 on the golden track as well. So ultimately I lost out on £3900.
I continue to play at Mr Green online casino and Evolution Gaming tables. The dealers are great fun, polite to the extreme and all about player experience.

Hi, do you need to bet on the golden loop and on the main board, and both amounts needs to match, or just on the golden loop in order to win 1300-1?
