Poker is a game of incomplete information so whenever you can learn something before your opponents it’s always going to pay off. That’s why one of the easiest ways not to suck at poker is to spend most of your time playing in position.

Position refers to where you’re sitting at the poker table relative to the dealer button, and it determines who acts first on every round of betting. If you simply folded everything except premium hands unless you’re in late position, you’d be well on your way to being a winning poker player.

  1. good strategy unless you're running bad. FOLD everything but monster pockets and stilll lose to 45 off suit. XD

  2. I dont get it, why play weak hands in late position, surely that would mean you'll always be playing against strong hands because everyone in early position will only still be playing with strong hands if they're following the same strategy, I'm definitely not getting something here, being a noob bad lol

  3. I have tried this before at the casino and it is not always viable to wait for good hands. I have sat at a table for over two hours and the best hand i got was a K, J. some other half decent hands like A, 8 and so on. My favourite type of hands to play are suited connectors from 8 up.

Keep in mind that wise players will bork the information that they communicate from late positions.
