  1. Nice video. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on why certain opening ranges should include certain percentage of hands. Most good players have a feel for how loose they should be opening in the HJ, BTN, etc, but is there any mathematical justification for those ranges?

    Everything boils back to the opening range (as noted in Millers Poker's 1%), since you'll have to defend 70% facing additional pressure, so it seems critical to understand how and why these opening ranges are a certain width from each position.
