  1. If you get all your chips in on the first level without the nuts you deserve to lose

  2. Honestly, you have to be a complete guy to shove on the first hand in a tournament. I had the exact same thing happen to me in a Vegas tournament years ago except I was the pocket rockets. I raised 3x bet and the person next to me shoved. I called, knowing I was slightly better than 50% to win when I saw he had pocket cowboys. Needless to say, the river provided him with another king and I was knocked out. He was "proud" of himself for shoving. It was too early to do that type of play and I was right; he was knocked out before that table was merged.

    Yes, I should have folded, but it's hard to do when you're dealt rockets like that.
